Timeline: After the Nihon-arc - chapter 182
character's age: Mokona is as old as time and just a child. At the same time! Canon gives no indication of how old Mokona is but it has been awake for less than a year.
powers, skills, pets and equipment: Mokona has often boasted to the travelling companions of its 108 secret techniques. These often come in handy and are equally often quite bizarre! Some of these secret techniques are as follows:
1. Super Voice Imitation (much to the annoyance of Kuro-puu!),
2. Translating (this is how the group can communicate),
3. Super Dramatic Power - Extreme Acting
4. Extreme Sneaking-In Houses, like a thief!

canon history: The white Mokona was one of the two Mokonas created by Yuuko and Clow. It was kept asleep at Yuuko's shop until the time came for it to fulfil its purpose. It was given to a group of travellers (consisting of Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Fai) in return for their most precious thing to help them in their quest. Its main responsibilities are to transport them to different worlds, translate and to locate Sakura's memory feathers that is the groups main mission. It can also get in contact with Yuuko for them thanks to its black counterpart and transfer objects.
It grows very close to its companions, doing its very best to help them in any way it can. At night it chooses to sleep beside the one they feel best could use its comfort.
The groups travels are mostly fine for a great number of worlds and the group grows steadily closer. Until they get to a place called Tokyo where everything goes to hell. The boy Syaoran they have been travelling with turns out to be clone made by their enemy who has been keeping the real "Syaoran" captive. As "Syaoran" escapes his captivity and finds the group the seal containing a part of his heart that he had placed in his clone broke and Syaoran turned into little more than a machine, driven to collect as many of Sakura's memory feathers as possible. Fai, who has known about this from the beginning but said nothing, uses his magic to try to keep Syaoran's heart. His thanks for this is having one of his eyes eaten by the clone in order to gain more power. Luckily he's stopped before he has the chance to take the other one and then there is quite a bit of fighting ultimately resulting in the clone getting away.
At this point Fai is dying due to his injuries and the place their in does not have the medical knowledge or supplies to help him. Not knowing what else to do Mokona calles for Yuuko, because surely "mommy" will know what to do. Trusting Mokona's judgement Kurogane makes a deal with Yuuko to keep Fai alive, resulting in Fai being turned into a vampire with Kurogane as his only food source.
After this things take a bad turn for the worst and practically everybody is angsty and hiding things.
This all comes to a climax in Fai's home Celes where he has to face a lot of old demons and ultimately resulting in the destruction of the entire world. Fai who, due to a curse and magic, has to stay put uses his powers to transport the others to another dimension but fails because his magic isn't strong enough. As time is running out Mokona tells them to use its earring which can increase magical power allowing for all to be able to get away. Kurogane, however, is not going to leave Fai there and therefore cuts off his own arm, which has a bit of Fai's magic in it, to leave as Fai's replacement and drags him out of there.
They end up in the Nihon afterwards, Kurogane's home world, where he treated and recovers. Things are less angsty! Fai gives up the remainder of his magic to give Kurogane a replacement, mechanical arm and they are all now prepared to go into the final battle.
Personality: Mokona is always very happy and hyperactive. It loves teasing and especially those it considers grumpy. It happily joins in with Fai's teasing of Kurogane-puu, enjoying his extreme reactions and being chased around. The only exceptions to its happy state of mind is when people who are close to them are in danger or in otherwise deep distress.
It grows fond of people both easily and often and considers the people closest to it to be something of a family.
It has the HUGEST ego you will ever find, because Mokona is everybody's idol! Therefore I think it goes without saying that it enjoys being admired and pampered, in fact you could say that it craves it as well as attention.
While it may seem very silly and simple minded Mokona is in fact both very intelligent and perceptive as well as in tune with its companions emotional state and does its best to help in any way it can.
While Mokona is very close to all its companions the one it spends the most time with is Fai. This is partly because they have a rather similar sense of humour, which basically translates to teasing ninjas, and partly because it can feel that Fai is one of the saddest persons in the party. While it knows that Fai is hiding a lot of things it stays very neutral and doesn't say anything about it to the other companions, possibly because it's not allowed to interfere but also because it doesn't really want to hurt Fai even more either.
It greatly enjoys teasing Kurogane and quickly jumps on the nickname-wagon. Mokona also tends to hide under Kurogane's clothes, steals his food and really enjoys being chased, even when it's with a sword. Mokona really is very fond of the ninja though and finding out that Kurogane trusts its judgement practically moves it to tears.
Mokona is more cute and cuddly with Sakura and Syaoran but enjoys teasing the both of them about becoming closer and being in "love, love". Mokona is also does it best to be supportive of "Syaoran" when he joins the group and tries to comfort him the best it can.
Because Mokona was created instead of born it has entered this world complete rather than as a clean slate. "You count one Mokona, two Mokona and then you stop because there are only two." The white Mokona has a red stone in its forehead and on its earring. The black Mokona has a blue stone. The white Mokona can enhance magical powers, the black can seal them. There is always balance between them and that is how they have been created. Because of this there is not much character development for Mokona, it is already complete. What does change is its trust in and affection for its companions and how they come to love and rely on Mokona in return.
It enjoys eating and drinking alcoholic drinks. It is genderless (some material outside the manga says female but nothing in the manga indicates any gender) and always refer to itself in third person.
why do you feel this character would be appropriate to the setting? Mokona is very resourceful and can probably handle any situation thrown upon it.

There's a young boy called Syaoran who has brown hair and brown eyes, Fai who is rather tall, has blond hair, a golden right eye and a black patch over his left. And then there's Kuro-puu who is really very tall and very grumpy and should be very easy to recognize. Kuro-pon also has black hair, red eyes and a mechanical arm.
Mokona would be really happy if someone could tell where they are.

And if Kuro-puu hears this, this wasn't Mokona's doing at all, so Mokona is not at fault! Mokona doesn't even know how we ended up here!
Third Person Sample:
Waking up is slow and surprisingly painful. Mokona's poor little head is aching and buzzing and there are strange energies all around it. Mokona whimpers pathetically and buries its head in the beddings before rolling around and opening its eyes to take in its surroundings.
This was not the world Mokona had been in before, of this Mokona feels sure. And Mokona was also very certain that it had not moved them there. At the thought of its friends and companions Mokona looks around the room expecting to find them still sleeping, because if Kuro-puu had woken up Mokona would definitely have known (Big Dog can be very loud). The room is empty. A worried look passes over Mokona's face and it calls out the names of friends. Maybe they were just hiding somewhere? Maybe this was just a game and Mokona was being silly.
“Fai?” Nothing.
“Syaoran?” Still nothing.
“Kuro-pii?” The last name comes out as a quiet, desperate cry. Were could they be?
Mokona jumps off the bed and searches the room with more and more urgency. It notices the purse rather quickly but leaves it be until it is sure that there is no nook or cranny where its companions could be hiding. Certain of that they are not in the room with it, Mokona opens the purse and paws through the contents. There is nothing in it that seems to indicate the possible location of Mokona's friends except possibly the thing that looks a bit like one of the phones in Yuuko's world. Mokona looks it over with a concentrated look on its face before glancing at the door. Deciding that going out to explore would probably be a better way to find the others but that the phone-like thing would probably be a good thing to hang onto, Mokona puts it down to open the door. It only takes a couple of tries to jump up and get the door opened and it returns quickly to pick up the phone thingy before venturing outside.
